According to the particulars of the case, the duo on September 8 last at Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara, in the West Magisterial District in the county of Demerara, murdered Motilall Singh. It was detailed that Bibi Fareda Khan, Bibi Shameeza Khan and Hoosman Khan, all relatives of Singh, between September 2 and 8 last also at Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara, aided, abetted and commanded Ayube Hamid and Bissoodial Mahadeo to undertake the act of murdering Singh.

Acting on information received, the police had initially detained three of the accused one of whom eventually confessed to the crime, leading to the arrest of two others, one of whom had gone into hiding.
There are reports, that the man’s relatives had previously paid another person $180,000 to murder Singh. However, it was revealed that that ‘hit-man’ made off with the fee without harming Singh and the relatives then allegedly paid others to commit the crime. A post mortem examination revealed that Singh suffered 20 stab wounds about his body. He died as a result of shock and haemorrhage due to multiple stab wounds.
Singh had only returned to Guyana some three weeks ago for the burial of his brother. He was scheduled to return to the United States today.
