The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association has announced that 7 of the 16-members who participated in the just concluded 15th Goodwill Swim Meet hosted by Barbados have shattered a total of 17 national records.
Leading in this regard is 15-17 female Noelle Smith who achieved six (6) of the new records, Britany Van Lange competing in the 11-12 division set three (3) new marks,
Athena Gaskin (13-14) accomplished two (2) with Soroya Simmons setting one.
Among the boys, Niall Roberts (15-17) in his final year at this level achieved two new marks the same as the youngest member of the team Daniel Scott who competed in the 8 and under category. Travis Henry (11-12) set the other record.
