Officials of the LGC expressed gratitude to Demerara Mutual for their continued support in sponsoring tournaments annually and expressed the wish that the insurance company will continue its support in the future.
Meanwhile, the top three finishers are expected to be among a list of more than 20 golfers traveling to neighbouring Suriname next weekend for the RBTT Suriname Open Golf championships.
The latest players who have indicated their interest in competing in the neighbouring republic are William Walker and Gavin Todd. The list also includes Clifford Reis, Ian Gouveia and Alfred Mentore.
