Grace Kennedy Remittance Services (Guyana) Ltd., agent for Western Union and Bill Express in Guyana, has partnered with the African Cultural and Development Association in its Emancipation celebrations.
“This is a major event that is organised by the Association annually and as a company we are pleased to be supporting such a worthy venture.” The intention of the festival is to commemorate the abolition of Chattel Slavery. “It is our belief that celebration of culture is fundamental to sustaining our heritage. It also provides greater understanding among people of diverse backgrounds and thus can be a unifying force. As such, the company has been a major contributor to many cultural events and consistently provides assistance to local emancipation celebrations.”
Marketing Manager, Natheeah King, handed over the cheque to ACDA’s representative, Eric Phillips, who conveyed his organisation’s gratitude to Grace Kennedy for supporting the event.
