Three of the four teams to contest the Wildfire Productions–organised Digicel’s ‘D’ Bimmer Flex Promotions T20 Cricket Competition have announced their squads to participate in the one-day activity, scheduled to be staged Saturday, at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground.
The four teams are: New Line Cavaliers, West Demerara Mavericks, McGill Super Stars and Cornelia Ida (CI).
They will vie for a first prize of $100,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up take home $50,000 and a trophy.
An incentive of $10,000 will be given to the Player of the Final.
New Line Cavaliers final XI will be named from Gajanand Singh, Assad Fudadin, Chubraj Ramcharran, Andrew Lyght jr, Andre Percival, Shien Gittens, Balram Samaroo, Ameer Azeez, Anthony Ifill, Maxwell Fraser, Trevor Benn, Budhan Baksh and Avinash Sookdeo.
McGill Super Stars will be chosen from Sudesh Persaud (Captain), Rameshwar Persaud, Jagdesh Balgobin, Balram Aaron, Gancham Harridial, Abdool Razack, Naresh Biddessie, Praharlal Singh, Boodram Sugrim, Chaitnand Shivram, Mahadeo Ramoutar, Richard Sookdeo and Gangaram Lookchand.
The West Demerara Mavericks line-up include: Doesh Sookhoo, Ganpat Sookram, Julian Williams, Mohenram Chetram, Muneshwar Balgobin (Captain), Balbinder Persaud, Timour Mohamed, Amrit Jairam, Yutesh Dhanpaul, Madlall Doodnarine, Yudistir Parbuddin, Azad Azeez, Safraz Karim, Medha Dhanpaul and Dindial Guyadine.
There will be a supporting game just before the start of the actual competition, when a Digicel Select XI oppose a team from Banks DIH, starting at 10:00 hrs.
According to the organisers, cell phones and top-up flex cards will be on sale at the venue.
Banks Power Stout and Ryder Hard Wine are also associated with the day’s activities.
