The Lake Mainstay Resort is set to ignite with Power Boat action on Sunday August 16, when the 9th edition of their Regatta comes off at their Magnificent Fresh Water Lake, Essequibo.
Competitors will battle each other in the Power Boat races ranging from 15, 40, 75 to 225 horsepower. Novices will not be excluded, and there is a special race (75 HP), where they can test their skills.
Swimmers will also have the chance to showcase their talent, when they clash in a 300 metre race. Prizes will be awarded to the champion racers in groups one and two, while competitors placing 1st to 3rd in the various events will also be rewarded.
Fans can also look forward to the added entertainment with the organisers planning a packed two-hour cultural show, which would also feature a fashion display, at which designers from the Cinderella County get a chance to show off their designing capabilities.
Children will also have their time to enjoy the fun and warmth of Lake Mainstay with the Ferris wheel, Merry-Go-Round, Trampoline, and Children Castle Jump, among the many choices of activity.
The cultural show is scheduled to commence immediately after the boat racing events at 15:00hrs.
The organisers are promising an event that is second to none.
