The 2009 Spready’s Bakery Under-19, 50 over Cricket competition organised by the Berbice Cricket Board for teams in the Ancient County resumed recently.
Highlighting the latest matches played was the outstanding performance of Blairmont Community Centre who registered a 10 wicket win over bath Development Centre.
Led by 4 for 17 off 8 overs from medium pacer Phillip Edwards, they bowled out Bath for 61 in 16.1 overs. Then their opening batsmen Wazid Suban (33 n.o.) and Deodat Singh (11 .o.) saw them to 62 without loss.
Despite a good allround performance from Bath Aditya’s Lakeram Chaitram who scored 35 and then took 5 for 45, his team still lost by one (1) wicket to Paradise, whose opening batsman Dexter Noble hit 55 to successfully lead them to victory.

At Rose Hall in Canje, Rose Hall Community Centre beat Young Hustlers by 67 runs. Rose Hall Community Centre 152 in 33 overs with Vedesh Singh 35, Jurim DeFreitas 33, Denesh Gopaul 24, Tevon Reis 4 for 14, Mohamed Khan 2 for 18. At Courtland, Port Mourant A beat Gibraltar/Courtland by 63 runs. Port Mourant A 196 in 45.5 overs with Jamal Cort 40, Mark Bheemsingh 27, Reshan Brusch 26, Hemchand Kalloo 26, Kelon Sinclair 3 for 62, Oswin Simon 2 for 31. At Seafield, Rainbow Generation beat No. 2 by 39 runs. Rainbow Generation 119 in 21 overs with Devendra Ramkarran 3 for 30. No. 2, 80 in 22 overs.
