There have been no reports of flooding in farming and residential communities despite heavy rainfall, the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority reported yesterday.
NDIA however noted that there was flooding in the city of Georgetown, which is manned by the Mayor and City Council.
NDIA is currently assisting with the drainage of the city with the operation of the Kitty Pump and one of the two recently refurbished Liliendaal pumps.
The Hydromet Office is reporting that gradual increase in rainfall is likely over the next two to three days.
Forecast conditions should remain favourable for rains through mid-June, the Hydroment stated.
