The Guyana Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) has invited the Georgetown-based Inter-Guyana Games (IGG) short-listed players to its inaugural practice session tomorrow at the Burnham Basketball Court.
General Secretary of the GABA, Robert ‘Bobby’ Cadogan informed Kaieteur Sport via press release yesterday, that the National Sports Commission has given the association the task of preparing the players for IGG.
According to the release, the short-listed players are to meet at the venue for 5pm where they will undergo special training with coaches, Cadogan, Mark Agard, Hezikiah Yisreal and new-comer, Kester Gomes.
The female players named include Ginelle Ifill, Quandie Small, Robyn Thomas, Tamara Hunter, Gabriel Chalmers and Lowquantor Gibson. The Linden association will field the remaining players for similar training.
The male players identified are, Richard Mohandatt, Shelroy Thomas, Leron Jackman Yannick Dundas, Shavin Etienne, Nimrod Humphrey, Joseph Stevens, Murtland Ward, Jhamaine Luthers, Seon Braithwaite, Elton Jefford Jr., Cowen Gittens and Seon Braithwaite.
