The flying Ace Cycle Club of Berbice will stage the George Watts Memorial 40-mile cycle road race on June 7.
The race starts at 9:00am from Main and Lad Lane in New Amsterdam, proceeds to Adventure and returns to finish at the starting point.
Claudette Watts, wife of the deceased George Watts, will send the cyclists on their way and hand out the prizes at its conclusion.
The contest is open to all Berbicians, with focus being on Juniors, Juveniles and Beginners, BMX riders and females. Cyclists from Mahaicony will be allowed to participate. No veterans would be allowed to ride.
Prizes will be awarded to the first six finishers overall, first four juveniles, first three BMX and the first female to complete the course.
