When rivalry in the Courts Pee Wee Under-11 league continued yesterday afternoon at the Banks DIH Thirst Park ground under the hot but windy afternoon skies, defending champions Fruta Conquerors, BK International Western Tigers, Marian Academy and Uprising, all secured full points.
Led by 2008 MVP and leading goal scorer Ryan ‘Bum Bum’ Hackett with a brace, Conquerors squeezed past Renaissance by the odd goal in 3. Hackett was on target in the 5th and 19th minute.
Renaissance got their consolation goal from David George in the 14th minute.
Western Tigers recorded the biggest margin of victory on the day, a 4-0 whipping of Pele. Gerald Sobers netted a double (4 & 11) with one each from Dimitri Clarke (8) and Jasanie Austin in the 10th minute.
Uprising put away the challenge of Camptown 3-0, Roland Layers in the 5th, captain Travis Lyken in the 18th and Zachary Garraway one minute later, the players hitting the network.
Marian Academy needled Riddim Squad compliments of a Dominic Braam 36th minute goal. The Thomas United / Buxton United game ended in a 0-0 draw.
Action will continue on Saturday.
