Over one million dollars and other incentives will be at stake when the Supligen sponsored, National Dominoes playoffs, gets underway at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue tomorrow morning.
The tournament which coincides with Guyana’s 43rd Independence anniversary will witness 23 teams from across the country vying for honours.
One of these sides will eventually be declared the champion team, following the finals slated for Sunday at the same venue.
Bartica would be fielding 2 teams, while the East Coast would be represented by three.
Georgetown is being represented by the largest contingent (7 teams) while West Demerara fields 4 teams.
West Berbice, Leguan, and Linden would each field one team apiece.
East Bank Demerara fields 2 teams the same number as East Berbice/Corentyne.
Director of Youth and Sports, Neil Kumar will officially declare the tournament open moments before double six-time at 13:30hrs.
