Semi-final rivalry in the Busta Champion of Champions 50-over competition in the Ancient County of Berbice, sponsored by the Guyana Beverage Company, will be contested tomorrow.
Battling for places in the final are Rose Hall Town Windies Sports Bar (RHTWSB), Young Warriors, West Berbice and Rose Hall Canje. Two exciting matches are anticipated with RHTWSB and Young Warriors the favourites to advance.
RHTWSB will enjoy home advantage against West Berbice in their clash, which is set for the Area ‘H’ ground. The home team will be led by Assad Fudadin, Renwick Batson, Andre Percival, Ravi Narine and Troy Mathieson, while West Berbice’s challenge will be spearheaded by Eon Abdel, Krisendat Ramoo, Keron Fraser, Keith Fraser and Keon Joseph.
Facing off in the other semi-final at the Canje Welfare ground are Young Warriors who will take on neighbours Rose Hall Canje.
Young Warriors hope for a place in the championship game hinges on Hubern Evans, Anil Beharry, Seon Hetmeyer and Farouk Hussain, with Rose Hall Canje’s charge is expected to be carried by Romesh Munna, Rafeek Kassim, Kevin Ramdeen, Vishal Singh and Jameel Blair.
Game time tomorrow in both matches is 09:30hrs.
