Even as Police on the Essequibo Coast continue their hunt for the two inmates of the New Opportunity Corps (NOC), another managed to escape from the facility. However, that escape was short-lived.
Reports are that some time around 16:30 hours on Sunday, Satesh Singh was discovered missing by officials of the correctional facility.
Officials of the facility subsequently recaptured the teen, who hails from Ridge, Wakenaam, some hours after his escape.
In the meantime the two inmates, Barrington Cambridge, 17 and Prince Pickery, 16, who are before the court for escaping from the said facility, are expected to be back in Court on Thursday.
The duo made yet another court appearance yesterday at the Suddie Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty.
The Magistrate is expected to make her ruling in the matter after she receives a report from the Administration of the facility, as it relates to several reports from other inmates about the duo’s behavior.
In the meantime the police are still hunting for the other two, Errol Johnson, 16, of 86 Section ‘B’ Rosignol, Berbice and Clairmont Wilson, 16, of 11 Paradise, West Coast Berbice.
These two, along with those who are at present before the court, escaped from the NOC on May 10 last.
According to reports, on Sunday last, the four inmates fled the facility some time between 16:00 and 17:00 hours.
They were serving time at the correctional institution for offences including break and enter and larceny, wandering and possession of narcotics.
Early Monday morning, Cambridge and Pickery were recaptured, while Johnson is said to have somehow managed to escape a police dragnet at Parika by jumping into the river in the vicinity of Bushy Park.
