Dear Editor,
This is a public appeal for the Food for the Poor organisation to explain how the system of distribution of their aid should be employed.
I seek this information because there is a Food for the Poor outlet at Mabaruma, which is supervised by a businessman.
The items are only sold/given to persons who are considered customers of this man’s business. They are the Lord’s anointed.
Also, persons who work with the establishment are paid in kind with Food for the Poor stuff. Is this how it is done? We are told that fees are charged for the items because freight and other transportation costs have to be met.
Are the items really for the Poor? Or are they for the businessman’s selected?
