Guyanese Latiff (5-48), Carmichael (68*) impress in T&T

Former Berbice medium pacer Luke Latiff grabbed 5-48 and former Guyana under-19 batsman Kellon Carmichael hit an aggressive unbeaten 68 to impress in the fifth round of the Trinidad and Tobago two-day domestic cricket competition over the weekend.
The 37-year-old Latiff who represented Berbice club Bermine and GYO in the City in Guyana’s first division cricket, helped Sweet Revenge to dismiss Ishan Invaders for 179 in their rain affected game at the Invaders ground. Carmichael who supported with 2-50 as only former Guyana and West Indies under-19 opener Richard Ramdin, who hit 3 fours and a six in 38 offered resistance.

Carmichael, who plays for Transport Sports Club in Guyana, then clobbered a belligerent unbeaten 68 with 6 fours and 4 sixes, as Sweet Revenge ended the rain hit fixture on 107-4.
Only one and a half hours of play was possible on the opening day and the Invaders reached 63-4 before being dismissed on Sunday.
The game was again halted for three hours on the final day due to more rain and Sweet Revenge began their reply with only 33 overs left in the day. Carmichael, who opened the batting with his team in search of quick runs, remained unbeaten, while Latiff (16) was the other not out batsman at the close.
