Hi Everyone,
Team spirit continues to be very good here on our tour of England and there’s a good blend of young and experienced players.
Due to the weather here, we have had to have quite a few of our practice sessions indoors but we have been making the best of it and utilising the facilities as best as we can. That said, we have not been batting as well as we would have hoped, but we are determined, as a team, to spend the next few days working on it and sorting it out.
I have also been spending lots of time working on getting my batting down. Due to the atmosphere in England, the ball “swings” more, so I have been concentrating on getting that under control and working to my advantage.
On a personal note, sadly, I lost a very close friend recently someone I have known since I was 14 years old – her name is Zalina from Trinidad. I want to take this opportunity to pass on my condolences to her husband and three children, to encourage them to be strong and for them to know that they are in my prayers.
Finally I would like to thank all my fans for their continued support and encouragement it means a lot. That’s all from me for now – but stay tuned as I, and some of the other West Indies cricketers, keep you up to date on our tour of England through our diaries.
