Commissioner of Police, Henry Greene, yesterday received a plaque on behalf of the Guyana police contingent by his Trinidadian counterpart in recognition of their outstanding service during the successful hosting of the Fifth Summit of the Americas.
The presentation was made during a meeting between the 30 police ranks and the Commissioner and officers of the Senior Management team of the force.
During the interaction, the Commissioner commended the ranks for their high level of performance of duty during the Summit, and promoted Constable 19968 Jamine Bacon on-the-spot to the rank of Lance Corporal in view of his reported exemplary work and conduct while in Trinidad.
