Only one of two scheduled semi-finals in the Banks Premium Beer knock out competition will be played this evening at the Tucville ground.
In a press release issued by the Georgetown Football Association, it was disclosed that the Alpha/GDF clash will be played later this week due to the non arrival of some of the Alpha United players (flight difficulties) back from Haiti where they played Tempete FC in the second leg of the Caribbean Football Union Club Champions Cup last Sunday.
The locals lost 2-0 to give Tempete the home and away rubber 3-1 and a place in the second round in Trinidad and Tobago.
The clash of the juices between Sunburst Camptown and Fruta Conquerors is expected to be keen with the winner advancing to the final.
Tonight’s preceding match up will see the Guyana Defence Force engaging Buxton United in a warm up game. Kick off time is 18:30hrs.
