– schools receive gear at ceremony
Linden’s Victory Valley Royals launched its fifth annual schools’ basketball tournament at the Linden Economic Advancement Project (LEAP) building on Friday where the six participating schools also received apparel.

The six schools that will compete in the contest that is expected to begin on Wednesday include Mackenzie High School, Linden Foundation, Wisburg, New Silver City, Wismar Christianburg and Linden’s Technical Institute.
The six teams each received 12 jerseys, playing trunks, socks and basketballs. The winner of the competition will take home a trophy while there will be other individual prizes for those outstanding players in the various categories.
