Quick action by a police patrol led to the apprehension of a suspected thief with a quantity of stolen articles that he was about to sell. He was charged and placed before the court.
Magistrate Chandra Sohan subsequently granted him bail in the sum of $300,000 when he appeared at the Albion Magistrate’s court on Friday.
Prosecutor Corporal Roberto Figuera told the court that on March 21, Radish Dukhan, 37, of Rose Hall Town, broke into the dwelling house of Seena Harrylall of Rose Hall Town and stole a quantity of electrical equipment.

Upon her return she noticed that the building was broken into.
A report was made at the station and upon investigations the police set up a dragnet that led to the arrest of the suspected thief, who had some of the items in his possession as he was on his way to make a sale.
And in the same court an Albion Corentyne cane cutter who was caught with one gram of cocaine was refused bail by the Magistrate.
The prosecutor said that Mahase Mohabir, 31, of Albion Front, Corentyne, Berbice was at a show at the Albion ground and was observed acting in a suspicious manner by the police.
He was subsequently challenged and the drug was found on his person. He was arrested and charged. His next court date is April 21.
