Teams from Regions 3, 4, 5 and 10 will clash in the Hugh Desmond Hoyte Memorial Circle Tennis tournament which is scheduled for today at the Guyana Defence Force ground, Camp Ayangana, Thomas Lands.
The tournament is being organised by the Hugh Desmond Hoyte Commemorative Committee in collaboration with the West Demerara/Essequibo Islands Circle Tennis Sub-Association and commences at 10:00hrs.
Hoyte, who served as Prime Minister of Guyana from 1984 to 1985 and President from 1985 to 1992, was born on March 9, 1929 and died on December 22, 2002.
