Brian Hackett will be looking to make it two in a row in what is expected to be another interesting weekend of golf at the Household and Electronic Plus Medal Play tournament set for today at Lusignan Course starting at 12:30 hours.
Approximately 35 golfers as expected to take part in the tournament which will be used as preparation for the Suriname Open that was recently postponed due to flooding in the neighbouring republic.
Among the starters will be Ronald Bulkan, Jerome Khan, Colin Ming, Christine Sukhram, Alfred Mentore, Imran Khan, Mike Guyadin, Patrick Prashad, Gavin Todd, Dr. Ram Singh, Ian Gouveia, Mike Mangal, Joann Deo, Esau Shamshudin, Mel Sankies, Maurice Solomon, Chatterpaul Deo, B. Deo, Mark Lashley and Alfred Sample.
Hackett was in top form when he came out victorious from a field of thirty-one (31) competitors in last weekend’s Vish Trading sponsored tournament.
The tournament which was played under Stableford Rules saw Hackett finishing with forty-two (42) points, narrowly ahead of Gavin Todd on forty (40) points and Mike Gayadin on thirty-eight (38) points.
He also won the Nearest to Pin prize copping a superlative round of golf and signalling his intention to mount a strong challenge at the upcoming RBTT Invitational Tournament to be held in Suriname shortly.
