COURTS Guyana Inc. recently hosted a presentation ceremony for two organizations. It donated a fridge to the Guyana Relief Council (GRC) and offered insurance coverage to Courts Pacesetters Basketball Club. This event was hosted in the Electrical Section at Courts on Main Street.
The GRC is known for providing assistance to persons who have suffered because of disasters. The work of this organisation extends to all ten administrative regions of Guyana. At the presentation ceremony Courts Public Relations Officer, Zeya Nasir-Ramnauth, noted that the entity is very pleased to contribute to maintaining the humanitarian work done by the GRC.
Courts Guyana Inc. has been the official sponsor for the Courts Pacesetters’ Basketball Team for the last 12 years.
Over the years, the team played in many Divisional tournaments and has won numerous titles and trophies to date. They have been voted by the Guyana Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) to be the ‘Most Disciplined Club of the Association’ and the team members are viewed as Ambassadors for Courts Guyana Inc. Ramnauth said that Courts is very pleased to contribute towards the development of this Club by sponsoring full term coverage insurance from a reputable insurance company, valued at approximately $100,000.
She noted that the entity is very pleased to contribute to these ventures that are significantly enhancing community development.
