Norman Vieira, who was robbed a few weeks ago of $250,000 worth in leather sculptures, has refuted a Kaieteur News article that had stated that the businessman had retrieved the stolen items from the robber.
According to Vieira, this is not the case, although the man was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
The businessman was robbed some time last month while he was assembling his stall, when the thief picked up his bag of sculptures and ran away. The robber was caught by the police when he tried to sell the sculptures.
