Mr. Vincent Alexander has reportedly been appointed Registrar of the University of Guyana (UG), replacing David Chanderbali.
According to reliable sources, a select committee of the University, under the chairmanship of UG pro chancellor, Dr. Prem Misir, met last Friday and unanimously decided to appoint Alexander.
Alexander has been deputy registrar of the university since 1994 and has a Masters of Law (Hons).
This newspaper understands that he was the Regional Executive Officer responsible for the overall administration of government services in Region Three from 1986 -1988.
Alexander also holds the post of Research-fellow/lecturer and was the Assistant Dean from 1993 – 1994.
