Police on the West Coast of Demerara have detained a couple from Zeelugt following a one-kilogramme cocaine find at the couple’s home at Fisher Dam, Zeelugt.
While reports are still sketchy, this newspaper was told that, acting on information, police went to the home to carry out a search some time between 19:00 hours and 23:00 hours on Wednesday.
After an intense search of the couple’s home police found the cocaine. Charges are to be laid shortly.
