Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) will face Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) in the final of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) second division 20/20 cricket competition on Saturday at DCC from 13:00hrs.
The two teams qualified for the final after beating Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) and Transport Sports Club (TSC) respectively in their semi-finals over the weekend.
On Saturday, MSC beat DCC by seven wickets while GCC got past TSC by 30 runs the next day
Scores:-DCC innings 139-8 from 20 overs. (Troy Nurse 47, Trevon Griffith 39; Daniel Gravesande 4-22, Jermaine Joseph 2-20)
MSC innings 143-7 from 19.4 overs (Troy Lewis 79, J. Joseph 20, Imran Hassan 17; T. Griffith 3-16, Kevin George 2-39)
On Sunday: GCC 150-3 from 20 overs. (Jeetendra Sookdeo 51, Renrick Grenville 35, Wasim Haslim 36, Kevin Poole 2-35)
TSC 120 all out 17.3 overs (Charran Persaud 55, Keno Alphonso 17, Delon Fernandes 3-25, J. Sookdeo 2-23, W. Haslim 2-1).
