Multi-talented athlete Jonathan Fagundes was in winner’s row once again when he carted off the top trophy in the Forbes Burnham birth anniversary Race Walk event held yesterday morning in the city.
Yesterday’s race started at the Burnham Bust, Public and Vlissengen Road, Kitty moved south along Vlissengen Road, east into the Botanic Gardens and ended at the Place of the Seven Ponds.
Fagundes, who is also one of Guyana’s leading junior middle distance athletes and also competes in cycling, won the event ahead of O’Neil Joseph and Jeremy Cornelius.
They each received trophies compliments of the Forbes Burnham Foundation, sponsor of the race.
