The first ever Associated Business Services 40 Overs first division cricket tournament in the Ancient County bowls off tomorrow with six matches across Berbice.
Young Warriors clash with Skeldon Community Centre at Cumberland, Albion host West Berbice, Kildonan travel to the Area “H” Ground to play Rose Hall Town Windies Sports Bar, Bermine and Police play at Canje, Scotsburg entertain Rose Hall, while Port Mourant will enjoy home advantage against Blairmont. All matches start at 11:00hrs.
Second round matches will be contested next Sunday. A small entrance fee would be collected at all venues by the Berbice Cricket Board of Control. Meanwhile, the Spready’s Bakery under-19 competition is set to bowl off next Saturday in all the Zones.
Interested Clubs in the Lower, Central and Upper Corentyne and the other areas are asked to call the Board Office on Telephone number 333-2375 to register their teams while efforts should be made to get all cricket grounds and pitches ready.
