Meanwhile, the rains affected last weekend’s matches. La Grange All Youths Sports Club continued their winning ways by defeating Independence Sports Club by 83 runs.
La Grange All Youths SC batted first and scored 139-8 in 15 overs (Darmin Persaud 33(3×6); Ricky Persaud 30(4×6) – again among the runs; Avenash Singh 3-15 from 3 overs).
When Independence SC batted they found the going tough and struggled in the face of some good bowling, they were eventually bundled out for 56 in 13.1 overs (Bisram Singh 17(2×4); Ricky Persaud returning with the ball to grab 4-15 from 3 overs).
In the West Coast Zone: Windsor Forest cricket club defeated Ruimzeight SC by 33 runs:
Windsor Forest batted first and scored 159-5 in 15 overs (Doodnauth Dhanraj 33(3×6;2×4); Dhanpat Sookram 29(3×6); Gobin Hansraj 3-13 from 3 overs).
In reply Ruimzeight sc fell short in their 15 overs by scoring 126-5 (Gobin Hansraj 28(4×6); Zaheer Basdeo 24(3×4); Doodnauth Dhanraj 2-14).
