Dear Editor,
In an advertisement published in your newspapers on January 14, 2009 by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, it is stated that “a pre-feasibility study for improving the Georgetown-Lethem road link was undertaken, and has yielded a set of alternatives to be analysed (sic) in Phase 2 of the TC – Feasibility Study”.
I have always been interested in such a project as a citizen of Guyana and would appreciate the publication of the results of the pre-feasibility study, if this has not already been done, in which case I would appreciate direction to locate the publication.
In particular, I am interested in knowing whether a railway was considered as a viable alternative to a roadway.
