For almost one week, Trimaine Griffith, 14, has not been seen after she fled from her aunt’s home at Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo, on January 5.
The young teen’s aunt and primary care giver, Fay Griffith, said that she is worried that the worst may happen to her niece, as she is not from that area.
Fay explained that Trimaine attends the Linden Foundation School in Linden, and was only visiting for the Christmas holidays when she (Trimaine) ran away.
Fay said that she had threatened to ‘discipline’ Trimaine following an incident in which Trimaine let a boy from the neighbourhood into the house late one night.
After Fay had threatened to ‘discipline’ the teenager, the child was reportedly uneasy, and when she went to church in Vergenoegen with her cousin (Fay’s son), she was reported to have been unable to sit still.
Soon after she left the church, she was last seen running up the road.
Reports have been made to the police, and anyone knowing the whereabouts of Trimaine Griffith is asked to contact the police, or Fay Griffith on 662-5149.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
