This deep pothole outside of Carnegie School of Home Economics at the junction of D’Urban and High Streets was caused when the foundations of the road caved in.
Minibus operators and other drivers have complained that they are required to effect a wide turn from High Street into D’Urban Street to avoid the crater, and this often brings them directly into the lane of traffic seeking to exit the latter thoroughfare.
