A Cotton Field, Essequibo Coast family was plunged into morning, at around 6:00 hours on Saturday, after police discovered the body of 82-year-old Leslie Ramgobim Synanom, aka Brother Leslie, between some rocks aback of the Anna Regina Community Centre.
Police made the discovery after a missing report was made by the family. When Kaieteur News visited the Synanom family at their Cotton Field home, the dead man’s niece, 70-year-old Jessie Narine, was being comforted by neighbours.
Mrs Naraine said that she had noticed one of the dogs howling while the other was seen with its head nestled between its paws, and she knew that something was wrong.
She said that she became more concerned, and her worst fears were confirmed after the police discovered the body.
A post mortem is expected to be performed on the body today.
