NEW AMSTERDAM, BERBICE – Several Berbicians walked off with substantial amounts of cash as the Cellink promotion ‘Cash in the Booth’ took the Ancient County by storm.
The first stop was at Corriverton on Tuesday, the following day it was at Rose Hall Town and Thursday, New Amsterdam.
Rhonda Johnson Senior Marketing Officer described the Cellink Cash in the Booth as “Extremely good!”
Most encouraging was the promotion at Corriverton. Although it was held on a day that is not a market day still the promotion was able to attract several persons.
She said that even after the draws were finished at 16:00 hours still several persons continued to show up to purchase new handsets or even top-up their account.
Ms. Johnson recalled that they had anticipated bad weather at Corriverton, but God smiled down on “the Best Network Strongest Signal” giving them a sunny day.
In both Rose Hall Town and New Amsterdam the promotion was also good.
Nandanie Ramrit of Corriverton caught $29,240, Devon Harris $30,600, Bebe F. Haraknarine $35,420, Chitrawattie Jaundoo $8,920, Hansraj Soamdatt $20,460, Natasha Anderson $23, 820, Doorendra Mahiapen $13,060, Bharrat Sukhu $14,000, Feroz Ibrahim $41,200, Parbatti Shamsundar $10,460 and Suenitawattie Singh $24,940.
The lucky grabbers from Rose Hall Town were Ganesh Budhu $27,780, Allison Campbell $23,020, Wonicia Rahaman $17,600, Anthony Lashley $23,500, Fatima Shabazz $20,120, Asif Singh $33,640 and Odetta Davis $9,660.
In New Amsterdam Yogita Ramnauth $21, 120, Mukeshwar Sewlall $33,960, Fulencity Holder $21,600, Rohanie Gaj $32,500, Omeshwar Tribhowan $21,400 and Odale Williams who caught $36,160 were the lucky ones.
Every $500 top-up gave subscribers one voucher thus making them eligible to enter. Persons were also given vouchers based on the cost of the new hand set purchased.
The vouchers were placed into a box and a spectator was invited to select one for each draw.
Draws were held every hour on to 16:00 hours followed by a bonus round.
There was also the “double the bubble” where each $1,000 top-up earned the subscriber a matching amount.
Free Cellink tote bags were given to some who recharged their accounts while others got free minutes.
The Cellink Cash in the Booth promotion moved to Mon Repos yesterday and returns to Georgetown on Christmas Eve.
