ISUZU Guyana yesterday extended congratulations to Cleveland Forde on becoming the first Caribbean athlete to cross the finish line after placing fourth overall on Saturday in the annual Run Barbados 10k Road Run.
Rendell Harry of ISUZU Guyana presented Cleveland Forde with an airline ticket to compete at the Run Barbados 10k race last Saturday. At left is another representative of the company.
“We are in full support of motivating him in his quest to further thrust Guyana forward in athletics after a request was made,” a release from the company stated, while pledging further support for the top athlete.
“This is ISUZU’s first such venture with Forde and we will continue supporting him in his continued efforts,” the disclaimer added. The gesture became Forde’s second major sponsorship commitment after GT&T.
The only savior of Guyana.
