Dear Editor,
“I am expected to do what is the best for Guyana. I am nominated by the Leader of the Opposition, appointed by the President, and took an oath under the Constitution of Guyana, and therefore I am expected to uphold the Constitution, and not be ‘the PNCR servant,” Vincent Alexander exhorted.
After reading the feud between PNCR Leader and his boys, I must say I am happy to see them fighting it out. Before anyone knows it, the PNCR will self-destruct and be dismantled and/or be disbanded.
Mr. President, GECOM and fellow Guyanese, please don’t be misled by these PNCR people and their antics.
We all know they say one thing and do another, but when it’s crunch time, they are all for one and one for all.
Alexander must resign, or the President must ask that he not be with GECOM either. First thing first, the President has to appoint someone from the opposition. Since Alexander will not be in opposition, he must therefore resign pronto.
Secondly, if Alexander stays on, you will hear the cries and uproar and street protest once he is with GECOM when PPP/C wins.
Every Guyanese knows it’s the PNCR that is pussyfooting and not wanting local elections held for various reasons. So, I say, please do not allow a set-up for the coming general election by the PNCR.
