The Guyana Cricket Board has arranged a three-day practice match for the senior National Cricketers from December 2-4 as the Guyanese prepare for the 2009 Carib Beer regional four-day first-class cricket competition which starts on January 9.
It would be the players’ final opportunity to demonstrate their form in a match before the pre-tournament encampment is held from December 10-22.
Fast bowlers Seon Daniels and Keon Joseph who are encamped with the Guyana under-17 team will also participate in the senior team’s practice match.
The players invited to participate in the practice match are:-
Travis Dowlin, Krishna Arjune, Shemroy Barrington, Narsingh Deonarine, Gajanand Singh, Hoomchand Pooran, Vishal Singh, Assad Fudadin, Steven Jacobs, Zaheer Mohamed, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Brendon Bess, Christopher Barnwell, Trevon Garraway, Esaun Crandon, Delbert Hicks, Derwin Christian, Rajendra Chandrika, Royston Crandon, Maxie De Jonge, Ranga Lachigadu, Rajiv Ivan, Krishna Deosarran, Paul Wintz, Stephen Latcha, Keon.Joseph, Seon Daniels, Delroy Jacobs, Devon Clements.
A Guyana 13-man squad will participate in a practice match from the January 4-6 before they depart for Grenada for their opening round game against the Windward Islands from January 9-12.
