On Saturday, December 6, at the National Library’s Conference Room Three, a number of entities will come together as part of the first ever Poetic Conference, with poets (all Guyanese) between the ages of 13-30 uniquely expressing themselves.
Over fourteen churches and several schools will be represented.
The Conference is sponsored by the Larparkan Group of Companies, and will be managed by the Maranatha Ministries International (The Millennium Church – Apostolic)
Laparkan has, over the years, shown interest in the nation’s development in several areas of education, but this forum is one of the more uncommon events in which it has shown its interest. To complement the occasion, book awards and trophies will be handed out.
The participants will be involved in a workshop exploring sixteen categories of poetic expressions and language.
There will be three speakers at the conference, namely Apostle Dennis Lee of Linden; Apostle Vanrick Beresford and University of Guyana graduate minister Julia Kanhai.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
