The Guyana Amateur Boxing Association Champion of Champions boxing tournament continues tonight after opening last evening, and the action is set to heat up tonight as competitors look to tomorrow finale.
Action commences 6:00pm nightly in the Church’s Chicken sponsored event. A large number of young pugilists will be eager to display their talent to supportive fans as they seek to close the year’s programme on a winning note.
A total of 25 gyms have been invited to compete in the tournament including the established gyms and several of the recently formed ones, including Parika, Timehri, Melanie Damishana and Port Kaituma.
GABA has also planned upgrading programmes for its officials. A Coaches Training programme is fixed for January, while referees will be targeted in February of next year.
