National Race Walk champion Rudolph Mitchell continued his winning streak when he copped his 81st local consecutive title in the Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club’s Gavin Kennard Memorial Race Walk in observance of Agriculture Month last Sunday.
The race began at the National Cultural Centre and proceeded along Homestretch Avenue ending at the Ministry of Agriculture, Vlissengen Road.
Kelton Jennings placed second while Jeremy Cornelius finished third. Brian Roberts took the top spot in the Veterans category ahead of Debidyal Harold. In the Female Category, newcomer Shequita Henry took the first place.
Trophies and other prizes were donated by Managing Director of Wisroc Investments Ltd, John Nedd, Chairman Guyana Elections Commission Dr Steven Surajbally and Anand Dharry.
Banks DIH and Continental Agencies Ltd provided water and other refreshments.
