Police have detained an officer from the Central Immigration Department after a quantity of drugs was found on the person of one of her relatives at her Laing Avenue address. Police say they recovered more than 160 packets of marijuana and are looking for a male occupant of the house who managed to run away just as the search was about to be conducted.
According to reports, the police, acting on information, raided the Laing Avenue property on Wednesday night. The ranks found two women in the house, including the immigration rank, and the drug was found on one of them.
They were both detained pending charges.
