First timers Buxton United have increased their lead at the top of the points table when they took care of former East Demerara powerhouses Victoria Kings 1-0 when play in the Mackeson / East Demerara Football Association senior league continued on Sunday last at the BV ground.
A Les Charles Critchlow 70th minute goal separated the two teams in the tight battle but it was the younger brigade that prevailed after full time. Sunday’s other match produced an exciting 2-2 draw between Bakewell Buxton Stars and Ann’s Grove.
