Imagine Guyana now got Halloween. That is a season when li’l children in de States does go around to house dress up like Frankenstein and Dracula and scary people. Dem does go to people house and holler, “trick or treat’ and de people does give dem sweetie and nice things.
Big people does prepare for de event by shopping fuh de sweets and things fuh de children. However, dem boys know that dem have a set of wicked people who does put bad things in de sweets.
Now Guyana decide that it must have Halloween party because de States got Halloween. Big idiots does dress up like jackasses and put money in dem business people pocket because things bad and people ain’t spending.
Dem boys seh that rich Guyanese got to find a way how to spend money when poor people ain’t even got money to eat. And some of dem who can’t get visa decide that if dem can’t go to de States then de States got to come to dem. And de business community agree.
Imagine couple store pun Regent Street got ‘Summer Sale’. This country is only heat. It either hot or very hot. Summer is when it very hot over there and after then it very cold, suh cold that people got to wrap up with more clothes than dem can wear. If dem try to wear dem winter clothes in Guyana dem dead before dem can walk from Big Market to de courts.
Dem even got Fourth of July party. That is de date of American Independence and Guyanese does throw party like if is dem own independence. Dem boys seh is a wonder some of dem Guyanese don’t go to de embassy and behave like if is dem own, walk in without shirt and three-quarter pants.
And is a surprise that dem Guyanese don’t walk wid dem roti and curry and sit down pun de floor and eat while dem waiting fuh dem interview.
When it come to interview, dem boys seh that dem watch some people pun TV. These people wasn’t man nor woman but dem like behave like women. Was sheer laugh when these people complain bout discrimination and how de very organization that suppose to protect people against discrimination, actually discriminating.
But de whole story is that de people who complain about discrimination actually like de spotlight. Imagine that you born a man but when you go pun TV to complain you dress up like a woman and then after you complain, you decide to model.
Dem boys want to know wha happening these days. Some people talk bout de last days and these got to be de last days because was a time when people who funny use to hide to do dem business.
De other day de police ketch two people in a vehicle; one of dem, a big one son, had he pants down because he think that he been wid a woman. Is when de police inform he that he in real trouble because he gun be charged wid an indecent act that he realize that was another man.
De big one son start fuh bluff. He holler how he father is a big one and he gun mek de police loss he wuk. De policeman decide to carry through wid de arrest and de big one son beg. He even offer de policeman money, nuff money but that was he mistake because he now worried if he gun get charge wid offering a bribe.
But is not he alone trying to bribe he way out of trouble. Some people who live pun West Coast Berbice break de water main because de pressure was low. De main run across a trench and dem break it.
When Karan go to de area dem people tell he how is de horse break it. Which horse gun walk cross a pipe cross a trench? De main break in plenty places suh de horse had to walk cross de main, break one portion and don’t fall in de trench, walk again and break another part and so on.
Karan get vex and he cut off de water to de whole area. Dem boys seh that de people shouldn’t feel bad because dem wasn’t getting water in de fuss place. But is one thing to have a blackout, is another thing to have you lights cut off.
