This visit would entail discussions with the residents. The meeting would be held at the Kumaka Extension Centre, and Justice Kennard would inform the residents about his role and how the complaints are lodged.
Later in the day, he would meet with the members of the Police Force at the Mabaruma Police Station where he would again give details about his role and raise with them matters of concern to him.
The objective of these visits is to sensitise the public of the existence and the role and functions of the Police Complaints Authority.
