Over six hundred persons turned up yesterday morning at the Mark Benschop Foundation office on Robb Street to sign up for a free computer course.
In an interview with this newspaper, Benschop, the CEO of the entity, said that the objective is not to put existing computer schools out of business, but rather the focus is to ensure that persons who cannot afford it, be given the opportunity to empower themselves by learning a trade.
Computer instructor Mr. Kayode Lambert acknowledged that six hundred students is a great challenge
Thus far the Benschop Foundation has trained over five hundred persons in the field of computer.
