Manasseh Primo fired in a hat-trick in leading Fruta Conquerors to a 7-1 hammering of Pele, while Travis Primo nailed a double against Santos as Thomas romped to a 3-1 victory to highlight the latest round of the DeSinco Trading under-18 League organised by the Georgetown Football Association.
At the Parade ground, Middle Street, Primo found good touch and was on target in the 25th, 33rd and 49th minute. Teammate Nickel Permaul opened the scoring after 17 minutes with Keifer Adams adding his name 3 minutes later. Jermaine Junior netted in the 52nd and Eon Alleyne two minutes before time. Pele got their consolation strike off the boot of Rawle Adams in the 56th minute.
The other game at Parade ground saw Alpha United taking full points from GFC with a 3-0 win. The players on target were Michael Stewart (39 & 47) and Kelston Lamott in the 11th. Beacon won via walk over from Uprising.
Over at the Camptown ground, Travis Savory took charge of proceedings as he led Thomas United to a solid 3-1 win over Santos in very humid conditions.
The first half of this encounter was an even affair with neither team able to take the go ahead, but the second was a different affair.
Thomas, once a team to reckon with in the city is now on the rebuilding process and looked a solid and rejuvenated bunch after the break.
Savory put them into the lead 7 minutes into the half with a well placed shot in the 42nd minute. That advantage was doubled in the 47th when Jamal Scott capitalized on some poor work by the Santos goalkeeper, who did not gather well after a powerfully taken shot, pouncing on the loose ball to seal another goal for his team.
Quincy Chan narrowed the advantage for Santos in the 51st but Savory completed his double 7 minutes later to put the game beyond the reach of Santos.
BK International Western Tigers, who put away Renaissance 5-0 the Sunday before, were held to a 0-0 stalemate by a solid looking Flamingo unit. Both teams created a number of chances but Flamingo missed a golden chance of winning the game when they missed a penalty kick in the second half.
Sunburst Camptown gained full points with the failure of Renaissance to show up for their encounter. Action will continue on Sunday with six more matches.
