An aggressive unbeaten 135 from middle order batsman Kelroy Joseph spearheaded Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport to an emphatic 80-run win yesterday against host GCC at Bourda in their Beharry Cup Georgetown Cricket Association’s second division 40-overs cricket encounter.
Joseph clobbered 12 fours and six sixes and got support from Mervin Vyphuis who made 23 as the Ministry team were dismissed for 246 in 34.1 overs.
Selwin Vincent and Rawle Nalmont then grabbed three wickets each as GCC were bowled out for 166 in 37 overs as only Shane Seebarran (33) and Devon Charles (16) offered token resistance.
Almando Doman and Raphael Singh took two expensive wickets each for GCC as Joseph tore into the attack with disdain for the Ministry team which unfortunately had no scorebook and exactly eleven players at the venue while they were in the field.
