After being hospitalized for nine days following a vehicular accident, 50 year-old Guy Robert succumbed to his injuries.
Reports are that Robert was among eight persons who were injured following an accident which occurred on the Buck Hall main road, Essequibo Coast. The accident occurred on August 18 last. Those others who were injured are Teleisha Roberts, Reberto Cornelius, Deonarine Ramdan, Cedia Jean Rarc and Leon Stewart. Up to press time yesterday Teleisha Roberts, of Suddie, Essequibo Coast, was still hospitalized.
This newspaper was told that Robert died sometime around 07:30 hours yesterday while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s Accident Ward.
Initial reports had stated that on August 18 at Kilometre 57, Buck Hall, on the Essequibo Coast, Robert along with several other persons were on board motor lorry GKK 6142 when it collided with motor lorry T12 owned by Barama Company Limited. The vehicles were heading in opposite directions around a turn when they collided. The injured were transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
